LAMPS Coaching (Pty) Ltd is focused on small businesses to guide and inspire them to cultivate a comprehensive leadership skill set, strategically navigate their complex business environments, and to establish robust quality management practices.
I am a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in the field of leadership and management.
I completed my Grade 12 education at the age of 18 and soon began my career as a learner land survey draftsman at the SA Railways.
However, my aspirations led me to temporarily interrupt my professional pursuits when I was called to serve in the SA Army for National Service. During this period, I served as an Infantry soldier for a duration of two years, gaining valuable military experience and honing my discipline and commitment as a junior officer.
After completing my National Service, I returned to my previous role as a land survey draftsman. However, driven by my passion for serving my country, I made the decision to join the Full-Time Force of the SA Defence Force after six months. I embarked on a long and distinguished military career, serving both in the SA Defence Force (pre-1994) and the SA National Defence Force (post-1994) as a junior and senior officer.
Throughout my military service, I demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and underwent numerous military and civilian academic courses and programs.
These educational endeavours equipped me with a wealth of knowledge and skills in the field of leadership and management. In addition to my military courses at various military institutions, I completed several academic programs at civilian institutions. Some of the notable academic courses and programs I successfully completed include the Programme in Total Quality Management at UNISA, the Full Range Leadership Programme offered by Productivity Development Pty. Ltd, the Course in Security Management at UNISA, the Programme in Security Management at UNISA, Logistic Management at SITA, the Advanced Management Development Programme at UP, and the Senior Management Programme at DUT.
My commitment to personal and professional growth led me to expand my expertise beyond military-related domains. I completed the Pathway to Master Coaching 1: Introduction to Coaching offered by Profweb and the My SME Business Coaching Programme by My SME in April 2023. As a result, I achieved accreditation as a coaching member of IMCSA (Institute of Management Consultants & Master Coaches of South Africa) on 5 May 2023 (Member Number 885IMC).
Currently, I am utilizing my extensive knowledge and experience of over 40 years to coach clients in the areas of leadership, strategic management, and quality management systems. My multifaceted background, encompassing military service, academic achievements, and coaching accreditation, positions me as an expert in the field of leadership and management. My dedication to continuous learning and professional development has played a vital role in shaping my career trajectory.
